Privacy policy
Last updated 26 October 2026. The short version: the calculators run in your browser and send nothing. The site is paid for by advertising, which uses cookies with your consent where the law requires it.

What the calculators do with your numbers
Nothing leaves your device. The wattage, hours and rate you type are used by a script running in your browser and are not sent to us or stored anywhere. The pages do not ask for your name, email, address or account numbers.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, and keeps short-term logs for security. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to that processing.
Analytics
No analytics service runs on the site at present. If one is added it will be a cookieless, aggregate service, and this page will say so.
Advertising
The site shows advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its certified vendors may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads, to limit how often you see an ad, and, where you have consented, to personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message asks for your choice before any advertising cookie is set. You can decline personalised ads, in which case ads are still shown but are not based on a profile of you. You can change your choice from the link in the footer at any time.
- If you are in the United States, you can opt out of personalised advertising at Google's ad settings and at aboutads.info. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Use the links above to opt out of ad personalisation by Google.
Google's use of advertising cookies is described in Google's advertising policies. At the time of writing ads are not yet active on the site, and the consent message appears when they are.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies and uses no local storage for tracking. Advertising cookies are set only by Google and only as described above. Your browser can block or delete cookies at any time.
If you email us we keep the message for as long as needed to answer it and to keep a record of corrections. We do not add you to any list.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing, and complain to your supervisory authority. Because we hold no account data, the usual answer is that we hold only the email you sent us, which we will delete on request. Under US state laws you have the rights described in those laws, exercised through the opt-out links above and by email.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes, such as adding an analytics service, are described here.
