Who we are
RunCosts is published by Apex Digital Solutions. By using the site you accept these terms.
What the site provides
Calculators and reference pages that estimate what household appliances cost to run, built from published average electricity prices and typical wattage ranges. The site is provided free for personal, non-commercial use.
Estimates, not advice
Every figure is an estimate. It depends on assumptions the page states and on data that changes. It is not energy, financial, electrical or safety advice and should not be relied on as a statement of what you will be billed. Check your own tariff and your appliance's label before making decisions, and consult a qualified electrician for anything involving wiring, loads or installation. See the disclaimer.
No warranty
The site is provided as is. We work to keep the data current and the sums correct, and we run tests on every release, but we do not warrant that the site is error free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apex Digital Solutions is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Reusing the content
You may quote figures and short extracts with a link to the page they came from. The underlying government data (EIA, Ofgem) is public and may be used under those bodies' own terms. The site's text, design and code are copyright Apex Digital Solutions and may not be copied wholesale or republished without permission. Automated scraping of the site for republication is not permitted.
Links
Pages link to official sources and, occasionally, to other sites. We are not responsible for their content.
Advertising
Ads are served by third parties and are clearly marked. We do not endorse advertised products.
Changes
We may change the site and these terms. The date at the top records the current version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the publisher's place of establishment, without affecting consumer rights that apply where you live.
